Hi, my name is Kayla! I work as a Registered Veterinary Technician here at East Coweta Veterinary Hospital. I started working in the veterinary field as a kennel assistant in 2013, and graduated from Southern Regional Technical College in 2016 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. We always had pets growing up, and I always considered them to be my best friends, so I wanted to help them in any way I could when I grew up. I always knew I would end up working with animals. I love giving each patient lots of love and making them feel better and helping their parents make the best decisions for their pet’s health. I have only been here at East Coweta for a short time, but I love the friendly environment and high standard of care that the doctors and staff provide. At home, I have three very spoiled Shih Tzus named Gracie, Coco, and Angel. My hobbies include playing video games, aviation, and reading.

I have recently moved to Newnan and have a Pomeranian mix named Donatello who is my world. I have worked two years in a dog groomer and one year at a veterinary clinic as an assistant before starting my journey here at ECVH. Hello, my name is Rachel! Originally from PA, I graduated from Penn State in 2010 then moved & worked in Walt Disney World and Central FL for a decade. In 2021, I decided to change my scenery and start living my dream of working professionally with animals. After a brief time at a Central FL riding stable, I applied, interviewed & moved to Newnan, GA for my role here at ECVH as a Kennel Tech with career goals of becoming a certified Vet Tech. In my time off from ECVH, I enjoy movies/tv, music, books, hiking with my dog & volunteering at Iron P Homestead Zoo to spend time with my human friends & gain more experience with hoofstock & exotic/wild animals. My love for all animals (big, small, furry & scaly) started with my first hamster, Elliot (like the boy from ET) at 4 years old. Between then & now, my menagerie has included a horse, ferrets, cats, the family ball python & now at 33, my first dog, Red.
